I am so so depressed right now. I guess I should count my blessings and be happy that I am okay. I am hoping that my car is repairable. Here is what happened: I was at an intersection where the traffic lights were stuck and not cycling for about 15 minutes. Finally, cars decided to take turns going through the intersection. When it came to my turn, I looked at the intersection and it was clear. The side that had a green light (to my left) was empty of cars. When I saw that it was empty, I entered the intersection along with a car to my right. Once I entered the intersection, a car came barreling through the intersection. I accelerated as fast as my reaction would allow me but he still hit me square on the rear driver's side wheel. The impact spun me around twice and bent my axle. I was able to drive the car out of the intersection. I am so pissed. What am I supposed to do. The police came by after I called 911. They witnessed that the traffic lights were malfunctioning. The officer told me that they don't put their opinions on accident reports anymore as the insurance companies don't want them to. He wasn't going to put in the report that the lights were malfunctioning so it would sound like it was my fault for running the red light. He said that he would put it into the report since I requested it. What a @#$%@head. Oh well, at least he was polite. I am hoping that Geico will understand. I will be towing the car to my shop on Monday. Here are the pictures and thanks for hearing my rant....My poor baby.... The driver's side rear wheel is fubared. I am sure that my control arms are bent or broken and the axle is probably toast. I don't think that they will total my car but I hope they don't. Please wish me luck. What a suckey way for me to pic whore. I hope everyone else is doing better than me and Happy Holidays to all...
